In 2023, FundLife began a transformative partnership with the Equal Play Effect Asia Pacific (EPE - APAC) Program by Women Win, aimed at advancing gender equity and inclusivity. This initiative, featuring online and hybrid sessions, provides tools and knowledge for effective gender inclusion. As an Implementing Partner, FundLife has actively participated in training through the Organizations Track and Champions Track, leading to the creation of a Gender Action Plan (GAP). A key focus of this plan is the review and enhancement of FundLife’s Gender Equity Policy, set for implementation in 2024.
Last August 23, 2024, marks a significant milestone in FundLife's commitment to gender equality as they conducted a Gender Equity Policy Review. The review process is designed to address any existing gender gaps within the organization and its project implementation. By scrutinizing and strengthening the policy, FundLife aims to ensure it reflects a robust commitment to gender inclusion in all aspects of organizational life—including recruitment, promotion, training, and overall workplace culture.
The policy review session was a collaborative effort, with active participation from FundLife’s staff and youth mentors. Together, they examined and presented the updated Gender Equity Policy, focusing on identifying areas for improvement, integrating best practices, and enhancing gender inclusivity initiatives within the organization. This inclusive approach ensures that everyone's voice is heard and valued in the process of creating a more equitable environment.
FundLife’s efforts to create an inclusive environment for every child are ongoing and underscored by this review. This commitment reassures that FundLife is dedicated to creating an environment where every child feels included, valued, and empowered to achieve their full potential. Through its partnership with the EPE - APAC Program and its dedication to refining gender equity practices, FundLife is setting a benchmark for how organizations can drive meaningful change and support gender inclusivity at every level.
