Fun Learning Festival

Between May 15-18, 2024, FundLife organized a Fun Learning Activity which brought together children from different partner schools in Tacloban. The activity aimed to promote learning through play and games; providing a platform for children to explore new ideas and develop important skills in a relaxed and enjoyable environment.

131 learners from 10 partner schools  participated in the event.  These are: Antonio Balmes National High School, Lorenzo Daa Memorial School, Libertad Elementary School, Greendale Residences Integrated School, Lucio Vivero Central School, Tacloban City National High School, Tigbao-Diit Central School, Ridgeview Park Integrated School, Scandinavian National High School, and Kapuso Village Integrated School.

One of the highlights of the fun learning activity was the use of various of interactive activities and games that were designed to assess and reinforce the children's learnings during the study support sessions conducted from January to April 2024. Through fun Math and English activities, the children had the opportunity to learn new things and discover their own skills. The kids who showed the most improvement in the last three months were also recognized and received certificates. In addition to the certificates, high school students received hygiene kits, while elementary students received certificates and school supplies.

The Fun Learning Activity  wasn't just about having fun, but also about fostering a love for learning and encouraging children to explore their potential, discover their areas for improvement, and use their strengths to address their challenges. By engaging in hands-on activities and interacting with their peers, the children were able to develop important social and cognitive skills that will benefit them in the future. The activity also provided a platform for children to express themselves and showcase their talents, boosting their confidence and self-esteem.

Overall, the Fun Learning Activity was a success, with both children and parents expressing their appreciation for the opportunity to participate in such a unique and enriching event– one that showed how education can be both enjoyable and effective.
