FundLife Feature: Meet Youth Mentor & Coach Kyle!

Kyle Gabriel Ladios, or as the kids call him, Coach Kyle works at FundLife as a football coach, a youth mentor, and a facilitator in every tournament or event. He has been with FundLife for almost three years now, and Coach Kyle's favorite activity with the kids is the tournament because, in the games, the kids from the different sites compete and have fun. "It's fun to see how they play with sportsmanship and respect to the other teams."

What is your most memorable experience working at FundLife?

A memorable experience I had with the players was at the Girls Community League closing ceremony. It was enjoyable, especially with the color fight activity, because it was pure fun. Everyone was smiling, laughing, and enjoying the experience.

What is the biggest lesson you've learned while working with the kids at FundLife?

According to Coach Kyle, the biggest lesson he has learned while working with the kids and youth is that you need patience and an open mind to understand that these children have different upbringings from one another. The immense responsibility of being a coach is not easy; it's hard.

"That's why I love working as a youth mentor because I not only get to teach kids how to play football, but I can also influence them to become better and grow up with excellent characteristics."

Describe your typical day at work.

"A typical day for me would be this: If there's a weekly meeting, I arrive at the office at 12:30 pm. But if I am assigned a session, I wake up at 5:30 am and arrive at the office at 6:30 am. But when there's a tournament or significant activity, I am often assigned to pick up players, so I arrive at the office before 5:30 am."
