FundLife receives award from Rotary Club of Kandaya Tacloban

FundLife has received awards from its partners in the Department of Education for our invaluable service and contribution to the education sector over the past years through our flagship program Football For Life Academy and other programs such as Girls Got This and the COVID-19 Response.

But last August 12, 2022, FundLife received another recognition from one of the prestigious non-political, nonreligious clubs in Tacloban, The Rotary Club of Kandaya. The award was given during the organization's Induction of Officers and Handover Ceremonies.

The Rotary Club of Kandaya is one of the chapters of Rotary International. This international foundation uses its knowledge of local issues to identify areas of need, then applies its expertise and diverse perspectives to find a solution.

Our work which contributed to the life-changing activities and programs of the Club for the citizens of Tacloban City and other nearby municipalities has proven to impact the organization positively.

This specifically refers to the Community Learning Space (CLS) study sessions FundLife has been facilitating for the 105 learners accessing the Habitat Community Library, which the Rotary Club of Kandaya constructed and donated for the Northern Tacloban City Villages in Brgy. Sto. Nino, Tacloban City.

The CLS study sessions started in February 2022, and since then, the Rotary Club of Kandaya Members have been visiting the library to witness the study sessions, fun activities, and game-based learning that the learning aides have been facilitating in the library.

FundLife is currently coordinating with the organization through their President, Miranda G. Varon, to explore a possible partnership focusing on the children and youth of Tacloban City.
