FundLife Showcases Parent Play Pods Leyte (P3 Leyte) at AT ONE IMPACT WEEK 2026

A community-based innovation from Leyte reached a regional stage in Singapore as FundLife showcased Parent Play Pods Leyte (P3 Leyte) at AT ONE IMPACT WEEK 2026 on September 8 - 12, 2026.
FundLife joined leaders, innovators, funders, and organisations from across the region at AT ONE IMPACT WEEK in Singapore, bringing the experience of P3 Leyte into wider conversations on parental wellbeing, care, and social innovation.
P3 Leyte is one of the finalist innovations under the Good Start Challenge, which supports new approaches to improving the wellbeing of parents and caregivers of young children in disadvantaged circumstances.
Representing FundLife, P3 Leyte Project Coordinator Maria Victoria Basilia-Yee (Mavic) joined the Impact Lab, “The Care Infrastructure: Parent Wellbeing and Rural Community Resilience in Southeast Asia,” where she shared FundLife’s experience of designing and adapting the initiative with more than 160 parents and caregivers in Leyte.
For FundLife, being part of AT ONE IMPACT WEEK was not simply an opportunity to present P3 Leyte. It was an opportunity to bring the realities of parents and caregivers from rural and disaster-prone communities into a regional space where conversations about funding, innovation, partnership, and scale are taking place.
One of the key messages FundLife brought to the discussion was the importance of listening, adapting, and responding to what parents and caregivers actually need.
The implementation of P3 Leyte has shown that solutions designed for families need to reflect the realities of everyday life. Parental wellbeing, childcare, economic pressures, access to opportunities, and social support are closely connected. Recognising these connections has shaped how FundLife continues to refine the model and think about what meaningful support for parents can look like.
These conversations are particularly important as FundLife looks beyond the initial implementation of P3 Leyte. Strengthening the model will require continued learning, stronger evidence, collaboration with communities and local institutions, and partnerships that can help explore how the approach may be sustained or adapted in other settings.
The experience also contributes to FundLife’s wider growth as an organisation. Participation in regional platforms such as AT ONE IMPACT WEEK allows FundLife to bring locally developed solutions into international conversations while learning from organisations, funders, and innovators working across different contexts.

More importantly, it provides an opportunity for the voices and experiences of communities in Eastern Visayas to inform discussions that often shape where attention, resources, and investment are directed.
For FundLife, the next step is to bring these connections and lessons back to the work in Leyte — continuing to listen to parents and caregivers, strengthen the evidence behind P3 Leyte, and explore partnerships that can help the initiative grow without losing the community realities that shaped it.
Because when we invest in parents and caregivers, we also invest in the wellbeing of children, families, and communities.
