Girls Community League (GCL) - Cebu kicked off last week with its first matchday held during the Philippine-Australia friendship Day (May 24) as a way to start the official partnership between FundLife and Australian Aid on the project.
A total of 22 girls teams are joining the inaugural GCL Cebu, with 12 teams competing in the U15 category and 10 in the U17 division. 21 of the 22 teams are from marginalised communities in and around Cebu City.
GCL - Cebu is organized by FundLife with its local partner, Giuseppe Football Club leading the implementation. The programme uses the power to unleash the potential of girls and support them to stay in education and reach their full potential.
