Kick for Dreams: Dream Generation Futsal Cup Empowers Youth Through Sports in Dulag

FundLife successfully held the Kick for Dreams: Dream Generation Futsal Cup on December 20, 2025, in Barangay Rawis, Dulag, bringing together 81 young participants to celebrate the power of sports in youth development. The tournament provided a vibrant platform for participants to demonstrate their futsal skills while learning key values such as teamwork, discipline, resilience, and fair play.

The event reflected FundLife’s commitment to gender inclusivity, welcoming 32 boys, 46 girls, and 3 non-binary players. Beyond competition, the cup encouraged participants to collaborate, build confidence, and engage in respectful and positive interactions with peers. Matches were designed to challenge young athletes while promoting sportsmanship, strategic thinking, and leadership skills that they can carry into other areas of life.

The Futsal Cup also served as a practical space to foster community engagement, allowing youth to actively participate in structured yet enjoyable activities. Through play, participants explored problem-solving, communication, and cooperative learning, demonstrating the holistic impact of FundLife’s play-based, rights-centered programs.

By providing a safe and inclusive environment, the tournament encouraged young people to explore their talents, express themselves, and form meaningful connections with peers. The Futsal Cup was attended by Barangay Captain Leysa Capongcol, Sangguniang Kabataan Chairman Jeric Tumandao, and the Dulag Emergency Response and Rescue Unit (DERRU), whose support ensured a safe and smooth event. Their presence highlighted the importance of community partnerships in sustaining youth-focused activities and creating spaces where children and youth can thrive.
