Tacloban City — May 31, 2025 — We culminated May with a powerful capacity-building session on Digital Marketing, held at the FundLife Office in partnership with Eastern Visayas State University - Burauen Campus (EVSU-BC). This workshop is the first in a series of business-focused learning sessions designed to support FundLife’s mission of building sustainable social enterprises and equipping young leaders with skills they can use — and share — within their own communities.
A total of 24 participants took part in the training, representing a diverse mix of FundLife staff and youth mentors, Social Enterprise Seed Grantees, students, and young community leaders. The hands-on workshop was led by expert resource speakers from EVSU-BC. Mr. Edgar A. Avelino, Jr., Instructor from the IT Department, who facilitated the morning session on branding, creating brand kits, and visual storytelling through sample graphics.
Participants were able to immediately apply the concepts by creating their own designs and setting up Facebook pages that reflected consistent, purposeful branding. In the afternoon, Mr. Christopher P. Raga, Head of the IT Department, led the session on automating customer interactions using chatbots, helping participants understand how to streamline online engagement for social and commercial ventures.
The session was also graced by Ms. Reshyl L. Del Pilar, Head of Extension Services, and Ms. Wenna Jo Mantua-Mabansag, Extension Coordinator and Instructor at EVSU-BC, who continue to champion meaningful community-based education through active partnerships like this one.
Beyond the technical skills, the training emphasized creativity, community impact, and sustainability — pillars that drive FundLife’s approach to social enterprise development. The session not only delivered valuable tools for digital marketing but also fostered a strong learning community where participants were encouraged to re-echo their learnings and inspire others.
This workshop is part of FundLife’s broader commitment to nurturing local solutions through partnerships. Notably, EVSU-Burauen also provides ongoing technical assistance to our Social Enterprise Seed Grantees — winners of the 2024 EmpowerHER Camp Pitching Competition, under the Girls Got This program.

We are deeply grateful for the continued partnership with EVSU-Burauen Campus and are excited for the future workshops ahead. Together, we are not only preparing our youth to thrive in the digital economy but also helping them become agents of change in their own communities.
