FundLife, Founder, Marko Kašić, joined a high-level International Summit on "Sport for All - Cohesive, Accessible and Tailored to each person", which took place at the Vatican, on September 29 and 30, 2022.
Organised by the Dicastery for Laity, Family and Life, in collaboration with the Dicastery for Culture and Education, the meeting brought global leaders to the Vatican together for an purpose-led discussion on how sport can be cohesive, accessible and tailored to each person in a post-COVID-19 world. Speaking on the potential that sport has to transform lives, rebuild communities after COVID-19 and restore hope to all children, notable guests included International Olympic President Thomas Bach, Paralympic Champion and Vice president of the German Olympic Committee Verena Bentele, and UN High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi. During the meeting, attendees had the privilege to meet Pope Francis and sign the Sport For All Declaration, which affirms FundLife's commitment to ensure every single child is given equitable access to play and sport.
As part of FundLife's commitment to delivering play for children, it will be working with partners to build a Play Equity framework for community development to reach 1 million children across the Philippines by 2030.
FundLife was the sole representative from the Philippines after its continued collaboration with Sports at the Service of Humanity which has seen our FFLA Youth Leader, JP, be part of their youth mentorship program since 2017. During the meeting, Marko Kašić, presented His Holiness, Pope Francis, with a handmade 'Dare to Dream' bracelet made by single mothers in Cebu as part of FundLife's livelihood projects for young women, under the 'Girls Got This' female-led arm. The small gift is to signify resiliency, fortitude and faith in times of sustained adversity.
