FundLife celebrates New Normal Educational Festival

To celebrate the youth players' commitment in completing the Community-Based Small Group Educational Session (CBS), FundLife organized a New Normal Educational Festival at RTR Plaza, Tacloban City on April 21, 2022. The festival aimed to assess the learnings of players from the 23 CBS, as well as test their skill level in futsal.

The event was participated by a total of 69 active children from the relocation sites in Brgy. Cabalawan and Brgy. Sto. Nino, Tacloban City - UNDP Lions, and GMA Kapuso Villages. They participated in the arranged futsal games under two categories: 13 years old and under and 17 years old and under.

Aside from the futsal matches, they also participated in the educational games facilitated by FundLife youth mentors. Those were about - Self-awareness, Child Rights and Child Protection, Mental Health, Gender Equality, and Financial Literacy.

The activity concluded with team Lions B as the champion for the U13 mix category and GMA 1 for the U17 mix. William Gacutno (U13 mix) and Ronald Ocena (U17 mix) were awarded as the Most Valuable players.

"I enjoyed the futsal games that our team participated in. We wanted to win but it was hard for us. We need to practice more and consistently show during our coaching session so our skills will improve," said Patrick, one of the players from GMA.
