The Key Areas of Child Protection (KACP) Training, a cornerstone in our organization, unites duty bearers, youth mentors, and project leaders across the Consuelo Zobel Alger Foundation Inc., including FundLife International Inc. – Cebu. This program equips participants with essential tools to safeguard the well-being of our beneficiaries - children, AGYW, and non-binary individuals - who are essential members of the foundation of our society.
During the August 23-25, 2023 session, Mrs. Danica Alvinez, Project Lead of Girls Got This, delved into KACP Training at City Garden Hotel, Makati City, Philippines. The training emphasized child safety, demonstrating its fundamental impact on organizational integrity. It empowered participants to comprehensively address the diverse needs of every child, aligning with the core principles of child rights.
The training centered on three pivotal areas: Digital Safety, Protecting Children from Online Sexual Abuse and Exploitation of Children (OSAEC), and Positive Discipline. These subjects were not abstract concepts, but were brought to life through interactive sessions with AGYW and non-binary individuals in partner communities and schools.
We aim to extend the knowledge gained beyond our immediate beneficiaries. We plan to host capacity-building sessions for partner schools and communities, ensuring a broader understanding and active involvement in child protection. As Girls Got This continues its commitment to SDG 5 (Gender Equality), we eagerly anticipate sharing and implementing KACP Training insights with our partner schools and barangays.
Through learning, collaboration, and unwavering dedication, we strive to guarantee that every child's dreams are protected and nurtured. By championing child protection, we pave the way for a future where children flourish, secure in the knowledge that their safety is an unequivocal priority for our society. Together, we are creating a brighter, safer world where every child's dreams are vividly painted.
