FundLife Bagged Awards from Department of of Education

The Philippines has one of the highest poverty rates in the world. Even before COVID-19, the country was facing an educational crisis which has now escalated into an emergency as 22 million students have no access to equitable education.

According to studies, adolescents who dropout of school are 4x more likely to engage in abhorrent activities and at high risk of becoming victims of abuse and exploitation.

FundLife supports the most vulnerable, marginalized and at-risk children and youth by providing play-based curriculums and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) for schools and communities.

Working in direct collaboration with the Department of Education and vulnerable communities, FundLife creates a purposeful play-based program that sparks a love for learning, betterment and growth among children.

For the year 2021, FundLife received numerous awards from the Department of Education. First award is Outstanding Partner for 2021 for DepED Region VIII. This is the organization's 3rd time to be recognized since 2019. Second award is the Top 23 Education Stakeholder and Benefactor for CY 2021 in Region VII.

Dr. Marisa S. Magan, CESO V of DepED Region VIII delivered a message emphasizing her gratitude towards the relentless efforts of the partners and prime movers of the Basic Education continuity plan. `

"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence is not an act. It is a habit. We commend the countless contributions of external stakeholders in making sure that our Basic Education continuity reaches everyone because Education must continue for everyone. We thrive when we work as a team. Just like what the famous line says - Teamwork makes the dream work...Helping each other brings more than just a positive aura. You are the backbone of our achievements."
