Marko Kasic, the Croatian-born founder of FundLife and a former child refugee, has completed an iconic 421-kilometer run over ten days, culminating his journey at the esteemed Peace and Sport Forum in Monaco. His monumental run is part of the 'Move for Peace' initiative, aimed to cast a spotlight on the harsh realities faced by children deprived of their childhood due to persistent conflicts.

The run also signaled the launch of the Red Balloon Project, an ambitious program developed in partnership with the Peace and Sport Forum to elevate global consciousness and mobilize support for children enduring hardships in Gaza and other conflict-stricken areas.

Reflecting on his extraordinary journey, Kasic remarked, “This run transcended physical endurance; it was a universal message of hope and resilience directed at every child affected by conflict. The incredible support we've garnered for this cause fortifies our resolve to be relentless advocates for the voiceless.

The 421-km run concluded in Monte Carlo, Monaco, where Kasic joined global dignitaries and sports icons, including H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco and football star Didier Drogba, for a Peace Walk. The symbolic walk highlighted the unifying power of sports and underscored its significance in fostering education and social inclusion.

The Red Balloon Project, inspired by the indomitable spirit of young survivors, aims to provide play-centered programs that restore a semblance of normalcy and happiness in the lives of affected children. “Our commitment is unwavering in being a beacon for those overlooked, ensuring that the plight of no child is sidelined,” Kasic stated.

The choice of Monaco, known for its opulence and as a haven for the affluent, as the backdrop for launching this humanitarian project was strategic and symbolic. “Launching in Monaco—a place known for its grandeur—sends a potent message. It challenges those in positions of immense influence to advocate for those with the least. The past days have been profoundly inspiring, witnessing the dedication to this cause,” Kasic explained.

Kasic further commented on the global shift towards social responsibility in sports, “The transformation driven by sports in recent years is remarkable. Almost every professional entity and sporting institution now embraces a mandate to safeguard people and the planet. The real challenge lies in translating these commitments into tangible actions that extend from Monaco's luxury to the dire conditions faced by conflict-impacted children globally - turning symbolism and intention into real impact for children who suffer the most”
