Shanghai, China - FundLife International was the official Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) partner at the 2nd Annual China Football Summit, which took place in Shanghai, China on 25-26 May 2016.
As part of the organisation’s commitment to the summit, FundLife’s founder, Marko Kasic, was in Shanghai to present the ‘untapped value of aligning core business objectives with community investments’ for delegates from the world of football, business, and media.
Marko gave a passionate and compelling presentation on the business value of inculcating a culture of ‘shared values’ within an organisation, which can be seen externally through strategic community initiatives and progressive CSR approaches. Marko drew on examples from FC Barcelona, Chevrolet, and Qatar Airways as models for a successful activation of commercial activities in football through the medium of cause-related investments.
The two-day event was an exciting look into the Chinese football market and a key-learning tool for FundLife in its efforts to work with values-based partners seeking a social and business return. The summit ended with a special tour of the Genbao Football Base – one of China’s success stories and a testament to Xu Genbao who began the school some 15 years ago. ~
FundLife thanks Pioneer Sport, and in particular, David Zhang, for their hospitality, insights and continued efforts in sharing opportunities for professional football in China. ~
