Sustainable change begins with strong communities. At FundLife, we believe that investing in children means investing in the people and systems that support them every day. Through the Parent Play Pods (P3) Leyte project, community frontline workers and local government partners have played a vital role in creating safe, nurturing environments where children can learn through play and families are empowered to support their development.

To recognize these contributions, FundLife convened the P3 Leyte Stakeholders’ Recognition Activity and Sharing of Best Practices on June 9, bringing together 44 stakeholders from across the municipality. The event celebrated the commitment of Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), Child Development Workers (CDWs), barangay officials, and representatives from the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO) and Rural Health Unit (RHU), whose leadership has been instrumental in the implementation of Parent Play Pods across Barangays Barbo, Highway, Rawis, and San Jose.

The gathering was more than a recognition ceremony. It served as an opportunity to strengthen partnerships, reflect on shared experiences, and capture lessons that will help shape the future of community-led early childhood development initiatives.

Throughout the implementation of P3 Leyte, frontline workers have gone beyond their formal responsibilities—building trust with families, encouraging participation, and ensuring that children have access to meaningful opportunities to learn, play, and thrive. Their consistent presence within their communities has demonstrated that lasting impact is achieved not through isolated interventions, but through local leadership and collective action.

As part of the program, FundLife recognized the Most Supportive P3 Frontliner from each partner barangay, honouring individuals who demonstrated exceptional dedication, initiative, and commitment to advancing the project's goals. While these awards celebrated individual achievements, they also reflected the collective effort of every stakeholder who contributed to making P3 Leyte possible.

The activity also created space for stakeholders to exchange best practices, discuss implementation challenges, and identify strategies that strengthened project delivery across communities. These conversations generated valuable insights and practical recommendations that will inform the continued improvement and potential scaling of the Parent Play Pods model.

At FundLife, learning is a critical part of creating sustainable impact. By bringing partners together to reflect on what has worked and where improvements can be made, we strengthen not only individual programmes but also the local systems that support children and families long after projects conclude.

The success of Parent Play Pods in Leyte demonstrates what is possible when communities, local governments, and development partners work together with a shared commitment to children's wellbeing. Through collaboration, recognition, and continuous learning, FundLife remains committed to supporting locally led solutions that create lasting opportunities for children to grow, learn, and reach their full potential.

As P3 Leyte continues to inform future programming, the dedication of its community champions stands as a reminder that sustainable development is built through partnerships—one community, one family, and one child at a time.
